    Growing up in an ethnic household, my mum was always pickling or fermenting something in the pantry. Often it was something picked from the garden or some vegies dad would purchase in bulk from the markets. My favourite was mum's green chutney. This was the inspiration for the Ol' Dirty.

     

    1/5 flames means this is for most people who like a mild tingle! And remember, these ratings are subjective. Everyone's got different pain thresholds!

     

    IT'S ALIVE!

    All of our sauces are fermented in small batches for up to two weeks. This means you get a raw live product, with a depth of flavour which is unmatched. It also means that each batch is slightly nuanced depending on the climate, the chillies, and where you store it. Just remember to keep it in the fridge and give it a good shake!

     

    ALL REAL. NOTHING FAKE.

    Just like it says on the bottle, there are no weird preservatives or flavours in our hot sauce. From the jump, our focus has been on delivering a superior quality product and only using the freshest and best ingredients on hand. You may see xanthan gum in some of our products, and although it sounds weird it's also a fully natural ingredient that helps give our sauce a wonderful texture.

     

    KEEPING IT LOCAL.

    When we decided to create our hot sauce, there was zero discussion that this had to be Aussie owned and made. Depending on climate sometimes ingredients are hard to come by, but even then we try our best to ensure everything is at least 80% locally sourced and manufactured. This will never change.
